My mom broke Scrybert
Update #6 · September 29, 2026
I set my mom up on Scrybert a couple days ago. I felt like a kid showing her my art project.
She stumbled through the onboarding on first load which taught me to simplify it. Her accessibility settings were super high so the text was difficult to read. So I've ensured the text size stays reasonable to read, but it can increase a little bit.
She never hit stop after the onboarding tutorial.
She didn't really break Scrybert, but she recorded 972 conversations in 3 days. I've only captured 1200 on a month! The problem was background audio was treated like a conversation. On the backend if Scrybert picks up no sound, TV, radio or mumbles in the background, it's excluded from your convos. If 9 convos create "garbage," the recording is supposed to stop. Which it did for no sound.
We learned, when your phone is your purse ... everything is mumbles and background noise.
After 9 "garbage" recordings, it (as of this morning) now stops.
Thanks for breaking it mom. You probably caught the biggest bug!
